Overview
Bucksmore Education is an award-winning academic short course provider. We aim to support every student towards achieving their goals, whether this is studying at a top UK boarding school or university, or becoming a future leader in business, politics, or any other sphere of life.
Courses are designed for all students from those just beginning their language learning journey, to those keen to develop their confidence and language abilities in more academic fields. Bucksmore fall into three categories: English Foundation, Academic Enrichment and University Experience.
English Foundation – offers specialist syllabus tailored specifically for students in a summer school setting. All English levels welcomed and available to students aged 10 – 18. Additional workshops for students include STEM, Coding, Performing Arts and Veterinary Experiences.
Academic Enrichment – develops fundamental leadership, academic and vocational skills in an English-speaking environment. Courses give students an insight into future career paths with hands-on, practical workshops and theory classes led by professionals in each field. Subject options include; leadership, performing arts, medicine, engineering, architecture, business & enterprise, international relations, marketing, forensic science & criminology, software development, and sport science and nutrition.
University Experience – this programme allows students to live and learn like an Oxford or Cambridge University student. Students choose one university-level subject per week, taught at a first-year university level. Courses take place at either Brasenose College, Oxford or Magdalene College, Cambridge. A broad range of subject options available within the fields of Business, Humanities, STEM and Natural Sciences.
