The sports scholarships are designed to develop and support talented students here at the University of Bedfordshire.

The sport scholarships on offer here provide financial and performance support services that utilise the University’s outstanding facilities.

Are you Eligible?

To be eligible for a Sports Scholarship you must:

  • Be of a regional, county, national, international standard or play in BUCS within the last 12 months.

  • Successfully accepted onto one of the University’s full time courses or already on a course.

  • Be a home, EU or International student.

  • Be an undergraduate or postgraduate student.

If you are a coach or a sport official you can apply for the Talented Coach, Talented Official or Gold Official sport scholarship.

If you play for an individual sport (E.g. Archery, Swimming, Judo etc.) You can apply for the Talented Performance, Gold Performance or Platinum Performance sport scholarship.

If you play for a team sport (E.g. Basketball, Football, Netball, Handball etc.) You can apply for the Talented Performance, Gold Performance or Platinum Performance sport scholarship.

If you are enrolled on a School of Sport Science & Physical Activity Course and play Football or Rugby Union you can apply for the Football Gold Performance or Rugby Gold Performance sport scholarship.
