The University of Birmingham, a member of the prestigious Russell Group, was founded more than 100 years ago. With 162 Canadian students from 8 Canadian provinces, students benefit from a range of courses including Law, Graduate Entry Law, Physiotherapy (Pre-Reg), Pharmacy, Pharmacy (Pre-Reg) and Medicine. The University is located only 3 miles from Birmingham city centre, giving you access to one of the most vibrant, multicultural cities in the UK on your doorstep.
Birmingham City University offers an education with a focus on practical skills and professional relevance. It is a modern university, offering over 400 different programs in the subject areas of Art, Design, Media, Business, Law, Social Sciences, Health Education and Life Sciences. Birmingham City University also works on course-related projects with companies and organizations like Microsoft, Cisco, Jaguar Land Rover, Sky UK and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
The University of Cumbria is a distinct university located in a unique place that has inspired generations to conquer the problems of their age. Pioneers of mountaineering, art, literature and conservation all started at this university. Now their spirit lives on through teaching, experience and a learning community that prepares its students for every future, for every possibility. Canadians will be particularly interested in Cumbria's Health Science programs, including Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy and also their Law and Medicine Schools.

The third oldest university in England, and a proud member of the Russell Group, Durham University is a university that consistently ranks high in each global and UK university ranking. It offers students a range of study options from across its four faculties of Science; Business; Arts and Humanities; and Social Science and Health. Durham's Law School is a world leader in legal education and research and has alumni in some of the highest levels of the UK's legal and governmental positions.
The University of Essex has been breaking boundaries from the start. They are committed to two things; excellence in teaching and excellence in research. They are a global university and are proud to play a part in the cultural and economic lives of its communities. The Essex Law School and School of Physiotherapy are two particularly popular subjects for Canadian students.
The University of Leeds is one of the UK’s largest universities, world-famous for its teaching and research and located in the heart of a vibrant, affordable and student-friendly city. A member of the prestigious Russell Group, Leeds is ranked in the top 100 universities in the QS World University Rankings 2022. They welcome over 9,000 international students from more than 170 different countries, making the University of Leeds truly multicultural.
Liverpool John Moores University
Tracing its roots back to 1823, LJMU is a modern, civic university with extensive links with employers, entrepreneurs and business leaders in the city. University of Galway (NUI Galway)
The University of Galway is home to a diverse and vibrant community of staff and students who are dynamic, creative and highly driven. Firmly rooted in the west of Ireland, embracing its region's unique landscape and culture, the university reaches out to the world through a global network of projects and partnerships. The University of Nottingham is regarded as one of the best universities in the world and regularly features in the UK's top 30 Higher Education institutions. The university's Pharmacy and Pharmacology programs were recently ranked as the 5th best in the world by the QS 2023 World Rankings, their Nursing program the 4th best in the UK and their Veterinary Medicine program is ranked the 8th best in the UK. Canadian students will also be interested in the University of Nottingham's School of Medicine and Law School, both of which are in the top 30 in the UK.
Oxford Brookes University offers a world-class student experience in a beautiful city. As one of the UK's leading modern universities, they have a reputation for teaching excellence, exciting and varied student life, and strong links to business and industry. Queen’s University Belfast is a leading UK university on the island of Ireland with a reputation for delivering international impact. The University of Southampton is an international university with a global reputation for excellence in leading-edge research and high-quality teaching. A member of the influential Russell Group of major UK research-intensive universities (often likened to the US Ivy League), Southampton is ranked within the top 100 universities in the world. Only just over an hour away from London, Southampton is a thriving, modern and safe student city of around 250,000 people.
