Why Study Law at Leicester?
The University of Leicester has an excellent reputation in Canada as a leading institution for legal education and has over 10 years of graduates practicing Law in Canada. Leicester has 400 Canadians currently enrolled in its Law School, the largest number in the UK, and has a network of over 900 Canadian Alumni.
Many students join the Leicester Canadian Law Society which can help you adjust to living and studying at the university. This society offers a variety of opportunities to get involved in, including legal competitions and Pro Bono activities.
Leicester Law School offers Canadian modules: 'Foundations of Canadian Law' and 'Canadian Constitutional Law' - preparing students for the NCA exams upon their return to Canada. Particularly popular with Canadians are Leicester's 2-year JD Pathway degree and 3-year LLB. In 2015 the Leicester Law School founded the National Canadian Law Mooting Competition, providing opportunities for Canadians to prepare themselves for their future legal careers in Canada.
